हामीले यहांका नेपाली समुदायसंग सरोकार राख्ने समसामायिक विषय बस्तुलाई वहसका रुपमा अगाडि ल्याउंने प्रयत्नस्वरुप पहिलो पटक “हंगकंग नेपाली महासंघ र आगामी महाअधिवेशन” सम्बन्धि विषयलाई छनौट गरेका छौं।

आउनुहोस्, हामी पनि सहभागि बनौं !
के तपाई हंगकंगको सानो नेपालप्रति सम्बेदनाशील हुनुहुन्छ ? के तपाई यहांको नेपाली समाजको उन्नति र प्रगतिको लागि चिन्तनशील हुनुहुन्छ?
यहांका थुप्रै संघ संस्थाहरु नेपाली समाजको हितका निम्ति आ-आफ्ना क्षेत्रबाट कार्यरत छन् र ती सबै नेपाली संस्थाहरुको छाता संस्था हंगकंग नेपाली महासंघको पांचौं अधिवेशन सम्पन्न हुंदैछ। यही समयमा एचकेनेपाल डट कमले महासंघको आसन्न पांचौं अधिवेशनको विषय बस्तुसंग केन्द्रित रहेर ‘अन लाइन रेडियो टल्क फोरम कार्यक्रम’ सञ्चालन गर्न गैरहेकोछ।
महा संघको अध्यक्ष पदका प्रत्याशीहरुलाई प्रत्यक्ष सहभागि गराई सञ्चालन हुन गैरहेको कार्यक्रममा तपाईका आफ्ना विचार, जिज्ञासा या प्रश्नहरुलाई पनि समावेश गरिने भएकोले यदि तपाईसंग यहांको नेपाली समाजका लागि उपयुक्त तथा उपयोगी विचार, सुझाव, जिज्ञासा वा प्रश्नहरु भए तलको कमेन्ट बक्समा समावेश गर्न सक्नुहुनेछ।
पुनश्चः
१) आफ्ना प्रश्न वा जिज्ञासा राख्दा आफ्नो पूरा नाम र ठेगाना (कुनै संस्थामा आवद्ध हुनुहुन्छ भने संस्थाको नाम पनि) उल्लेख गर्न नभुल्नु होला।
२) विषय बस्तुसंग मेल नखाने प्रश्न या जिज्ञासाहरुलाई स्थान दिइने छैन।
३) भाषा श्लिष्ट, सभ्य, छोटो र स्पष्ट हुनु पर्नेछ।
एचकेनेपाल डटकमले यो जुन किसिमको कार्यक्रम सन्चालन गर्न गैरहेकोछ त्यो समय सान्दार्भिक छ । यसले विचारहरुको मन्थन पनि गर्छ होला भन्ने विस्वास लिन सकिन्छ ।
महासंघ आफैमा एउटा साझा र मुल सस्था भएकोले सबै जातिय, क्षेत्रिय र सामाजिक संस्थाहरुलाई पनि समेट्ने प्रयास गर्नु परयो नारा र भाषणमा मात्र समित नरही नेपाली समाजको बृहत्तर हितको लागि कल्याणकारी योजनाहरु ल्याउनु परयो ।
हृङ्गकङ्ग सरकारबाट धेरै पटक नेपाली समुदायको निम्ती बजेट छुट्याएको पनि सुनिन्छ टेण्टर हालेको पनि सुनिन्छ बजेट स्वीकृत भएको पनि सुनिन्छ तर कसले पायो र के काममा खर्च गरियो, देखिदैन । यसलाई पारदर्शी बनाउने र र्सार्वजानिक गर्ने र अनावस्यक कार्यमा लगानी भएमा संघले नियन्त्रण गर्ने अधिकार लिन सरकारसंग पहल गर्न परयो ।
नत्र भने नेपाली समाजलाई मागी खाने भांडो बनाएर कुनै संस्थाका सिमित पदाधिकारीहरुलाई मोटाउने काम गर्न दिनु भएन ।

ur question is exactly right, it is rediculios to having MAHASANGH IN HONGKONG BETWEEN POOR N STRESSFUL NEPALI.
I think here are infinitve nepali organization to cure n cover the naked wound of nepali but lack of prevention the parenthood uneducation, teen group problem AS WELL AS OVERSEAS WORKER PROBLEM.

Dear Readers,
I would like to request all readers to help convey the below message to the Chairman of Nepal Maha Sang.
I am posting this information to request your manpower assistanc with our upcoming Flag Day which will be held from 0800 - 1130 hourse on Saturday, 27 May 2006.
The Hong Kong Adventure Corps is one of the eleventh Uniformed Groups(semi-Gov. Dept) in the Territory. We provide active and adventurous training to boys and girls aged from 12 - 18 and follow in the traditions laid down by the Royal Hong Kong Regiment (The Volunteers). Through our training, the cadets learn self-mastery, disicipline, self-reliance, independence, and endurance. The activities are led by the former volunteer instructors. Flag Day is of critical importance for us because, it is one of our main source of income for our worthy projects. Withoput this revenue, many of our activities would be impossible and the youth of Hong Kong would be unable to receive the benefit of our special training.
This is the first time I ahve approached the Nepalese Community i Hong Kong for assistance in this endeavor, but feel strongly that the opportunity would be wonderful for you to provide experience in Territory - wide community service to your various members. In addition, many Nepalese boys and girls are serving as cadets in the Adventure Corps. They are in general from families taht are not financially very strong. The effect on of the CXorps onthese young Nepalese is fantastic, they become better disiciplined, better motivated in all spheres of their lives, and in general are better able to deal with the stresses and strains they meet in their daily lives. We hope that you will help us the help them improve themselves.
It is thus my hope that you will be in a posiition to offer as many helpers throiugh your organizations for the day as possible to help the Territory in general, and the Nepalese cadets in our ranks in particular.
Further detailed instructions for volunteer helpers will be given on receipt of their names. Thank you very much and looking forward to your cooperation with this and many other projects in the future.

Dear Chairmen of All Nepalese Associations,
I have experienced and found that the Hong Kong Chinese people have mucht devotion and desire of doing the volunteer service on weekends and public holidays.
The organization that I am working with is functioning entirely and very effectively through the volunteer service provided them which is noticeably committing minimum of two weekends in a month with a total of 58 hours on each month. BUT when you ask our Nepalese people to do some volunteer service for the Community you can be certain for their response will be NEGATIVE.
Therefore, I would like to request the Chairmen of All Nepalese Associations to post their views and understanding on this website “WHY PEOPLE VOLUNTEER AND WHAT MAY BE THE REASONS”. Being a Chairman, it is absolutely important to understand this and if he/she only perceives “BIG BBQUE FOLLOWED BY ASHAN GRAN TO GO WITH ENDLESS SPEECHES” is the best way then I do not see that Nepalese will ever be seen or recognized for our ability to compete for other than menial jobs which basically means we can only fill up places that requires only QUANTITY and not QUALITY.
We can improve our quality provided that we can set specific goals and achieving them through concerted effort and cooperation. A Chairman of an Association should be much more responsible than just to collect money from individuals and organizing “BBQUE”.
I hope my message is very clear to All Chairmen and readers are welcome to express your views.

No one like to receive criticism, and most of us don’t even like to give it either. But I believe cooperative endeavors like this demand feedback and evaluation. How are we doing in our project? What failed? How can we improve our efforts etc. etc? Such attitude is fundamental in developing a strong organization either political or commercial. I therefore think that I should comment.
I have heard this tape and came to this conclusion that the talk forum is more like a mock presidential debate in grad schools where students have difficulties in grasping the realities of true world. I know you guys are not paid and you are the only guys we have. However, in the name of community work you should not abuse your civic duties for purposes like publicity stunts either.
As you all have mentioned that visa is our pressing issue. Well, I think its not and your comments are farce. Hong Kong has a very good government and as far as I am concerned the government’s visa policy towards Nepalese are fair. As the government is fair we should be fair too. You can not blame HK government for its policy, having abused the privileges you have given earlier.
Its pathetic if not unfair for us to argue that this government is bias for giving Indians student, investment, domestic visa and not us. Do you think us, poor Nepalese by any chance afford to come here for the purpose of study and investment? Are not you aware of hundreds of Nepalese here in domestic visa, now seeking asylum? Common you are being unfair to Hong Kong government under which you are enjoying the privilege of living in the most civilized society. Put your house in order before you come to blame others.
The Hong Kong communities (social workers) are already helping thousands of Nepalese street sleepers, druggies and you name it, that Mr. IJAM’S MAHA SANGH might not even aware of it. The communities that helping Nepalese are professionals and has resources whether it is governmental or non governmental. I don not mean your kind of organisation is not necessary, it is necessary but it should address grass root problems of we Nepalese living here and should be realistic. It should not be an organisation that is motivated by Nepalese dirty politics and medium to entertain Nepalese politicians while visiting Hong Kong.
Our problem here are to eliminate gang stars like of CHETAN GURUNG, drug abuse, housing, education, adapt ourselves in local community, employment, training, health care, maintain our culture and identity etc etc. Stop this hypocrisy and be practical.
You guys even have difficulty understanding the basics of formal meeting let alone running a Mahasangh and challenge HK government is a tall order. Develop your skills from the grass root and enhance your ability to make your dream come true. Action speaks louder than voice, be realistic to what you want to do.
