  GENERAL MEETING/INTER-ACTION

  The General Meeting was followed by an inter-action programme held on 19 Aug 07, at the British Legion Club, Camberley where ideas and the current political situation in Nepal was made known to all present. As Chairman and on behalf of all members, I would like to extend my gratitude to all those who attended the meeting and the inter-action programme on that day and to those who were unable to attend due to prior commitment.

  At the meeting, historical and culturally-valued points were highlighted, discussed and agreed, i.e. establishment of a Limbuwan Academic Research Centre, Limbuwan autonomous regions and various other agendas were brought forward at the discussion table. Our Chief Guest, Chairman of Kirat Yakthung Chumlung Central Committee Nepal , Professor Arjun Limbu highlighted the campaign of an autonomous region based and pre-dated by our historical background, ethnicity and language. I have requested him to e-mail me his presentation package which will be available for all via our website.

  Our Vice- Chairman dadi Narkumari Limbu also thanked YKC-UK for organising this Inter-Action Programme and Mr Prasad Thebe also emphasised his views to the wider community about the Limbuwan Autonomous Region and Sarkar Manchaa and thanked KYCCC Nepal for co-ordinating the recent campaign.

  The President KYC- UK , Siriprasad Limbu also contributed his view that this was and is a very crucial opportunity to express our views to the Government for the establishment of a Limbuwan Federal State . He also thanked KYCCC Nepal, Janjate Mahasang and all various organisations, for expressing their democratic views and supporting the establishment of a Federal Limbuwan State Council. He vouched his opinion that we had the support and blessings for their campaign and requested moral support from all Limbus throughout the world.

  KYC-UK INDEGINIOUS INTER-ACTION PROGRAMME

  KYC-UK has organised an Inter-action programme with all UK based indigenous leaders at the Gurkha Palace , in Farnborough on 17th Aug 07. The Chief Guest was Chairman of KYCCC Nepal Professor, Arjun Limbu and attended by all Chairpersons of Janjate, advisors and intellectuals including the President of NRN UK, Ashok Shrestha. At the meeting various points were discussed including the recently heralded 20 Budhe Samjhauta and Establishment of UK Janjate Mahasang. All Presidents, Former Minister Bijyaprakash Thebe, Vice-Chairman Narkumari Limbu and Dr Chandra Loksamba gave a short speech in turn. Chairman of KYCCC Nepal Professor Arjun Limbu highlighted the state of the current “Janjate Mahasang” movement and thanked KYC-UK for organising the educative Interaction Programme.

  READING CUP FOOTBALL – 26 AUGUST 2007

  KYC-UK is taking part at the Reading Football Match on 26 Aug 07, led by ex Capt Bombahadur Limbu, starting at 1000 hrs. I, on behalf of all KYC-UK request and urge all available members to go and cheer up and encourage our team and wish them the best of luck for the tournament.

  FAST BALL FUND RAISING FOR FLOOD VICTIMS OF NEPAL

  As agreed and discussed at the General Meeting KYC-UK on 19 Aug 07, financial donation, no matter how large or small, will be gratefully received by KYC-UK. All money raised will be handed in at a Charity Dinner organised by the NRN on 2nd Sep 07 to be held at the Nepalese Embassy. As time is not on our side all KYC-UK Area Representatives are requested to collect donations and inform The Gen Sec by COP 1st of Sep 01.

  On behalf all the KYC-UK Pariwar and all Limbus daju bhai and didibahiniharu, I would like to extend our thanks to Mr Arjun Limbu. for accepting our invitation and for coming all the way from Nepal to update us on the current Nepal campaign and movement.

  FELICITATIONS

  Last but not least, KYC-UK is indebted and grateful to the Gen Sec, Mr Rajen Limbu and his family and Bir Limbu and his family for looking after our guest so well during his stay in UK . Finally, I extend my gratitude to all on behalf of all KYC-UK pariwar. Nuri Tase ro!
